Hi Amit

Not aware if Drupalers use mailing list still!

Just seen an IRC channel #drupal-support on freenode IRC network, I think people can join that channel, ask support questions & expect to get answers in real time!

Whenever I need any support, I google my question as "drupal <question>" in most cases I get links of relevant issues / discussions / modules... then I do read relevant posts... in 80% cases that solves the problem... if still un-resolved I post either an issue or a question under relevant project / forum.

I feel that actively using drupal.org resources (projects, forums, handbooks & issue queues) is the best possible way of getting support for Drupal!

Hi Amit,

Best starting point for all your Drupal related questions is drupal.org.

Here are few useful links to get you started:

Documentation:
http://drupal.org/handbooks

Support:
http://drupal.org/support

Forums
http://drupal.org/forum

IRC
http://drupal.org/irc

Mailing Lists
http://drupal.org/mailing-lists

Groups:
http://groups.drupal.org

Besides this, sometimes questions pertaining to particular contrib module can be posted to its issue queue.

I would recommend searching drupal.org through google "site:drupal.org <your search terms>" or asking your question on the forums or #drupal-support IRC channel.

You may also want to try google custom search engine targeting Drupal related sites (personally, I don't have much experience with it):
http://www.google.com/coop/cse?cx=005558135174622374984%3A18a39oisfvg

If you are just looking for Drupal modules then http://drupalmodules.com might be a good starting point.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Vaish
