Here it is.  Chanukah has come and gone, Christmas is almost here, and the upcoming end of another year.  Celebrate it all in style, with some great drum music, dancing, and whatever other merriment you feel compelled to offer.   I have some surprises planned to make this last circle of 2007 a special one, to remember the year by.

Come join me and our collaborative musical family and let’s send out 2007 out with a bang (of a drum or two).

See information below for details you may not know or have forgotten.  Information also available at http://groups.google.com/group/drumatic-expressions

See you Saturday.  Stu

Welcome to the

DRUMatic Expressions™ Community Circle!

Here's EVERYTHING You Need to Know!

This is Stu Needel, Facilitator and Host of the DRUMatic Expressions™ Community Circle, inviting you to join us for our monthly drumming, dancing, singing, joking, loving, rejuvenating, healing, sleeping (hey, don't knock it 'til you've tried it!), circle of life celebration.  This is a non-religious, culturally unspecific, embracing, all levels welcome event.  All information, skills, and instruments you need are provided, but by all means, bring your own (drums, percussion, songs, skills, and YOU).  The format is never the same, other than the very simple timeline shown below.  All you need to do is bring your SELF and be prepared to meet some wonderful others as well.

We come together on the 4th Saturday of each month at Cedarhurst Unitarian Universalists , 2912 Club House Road, Finksburg, MD. Office # (410) 861-8820. http://www.cedarhurstuu.org  The ONLY reason to call their office is if you're on the way, need directions, and can't reach me.  All details about the circles are below, but if you have questions, ask me.

While there is no official "cost" for attending, I ask for donations each month to support Cedarhurst in gratitude for allowing us to use their incredible facility for the circle. Please give what you can. I suggest a minimum of $5 for each person participating.  Certainly give more if you can and are willing.   If you absolutely can’t, I understand.

Got Drums?” (I hate asking grammatically incorrect questions, but I love that one!)

I encourage you to bring your own drum(s) and percussion that you want to play, but I and others always have extra to share. If you forget or don't own your own instruments (yet), don't worry about it. We'll gladly get you set up with something you'll love to play.

Schedule:
7:00 - 7:30 pm Introductions and Fun, Basic Overview of Hand Drumming and Drum Circle Etiquette.
7:30 - 10:00 pm Drumming, Dancing, Merriment, and Music

From 7:30 until 9:00 we'll play, do some games, fun stuff, etc. At 9 pm, we segue into "let's see what happens mode" and allow the circle to facilitate itself, meaning everyone's responsible for making the music happen. No facilitation unless I feel unless absolutely necessary. When there's listening and love in the air, the magic happens!

Best Directions: I highly recommend using Google Maps (maps.google.com) for directions.  Click here for a directions page to CUU and then just enter your starting address.  Complete directions will be provided.

Basic Directions at a Glance: I695 to I795 to MD 140.  Just west of the intersection of 140 and 91 in Finksburg, turn right onto Old Westminster Pike, then immediately right onto Club House Road. (You can't miss the big blue 'Cedarhurst Unitarian Universalists.' sign at the corner. ) The building is immediately on the left, after the parking lot.

Further Information?: Email me, Stu Needel of Stu Needel Communications, LLC, at s...@stuartneedel.com  or call me at 443-845-1715, my business line and cell phone, if you have additional questions. The ONLY reason I include the church # (above) is for you to use if you need directions there and can’t reach me.  Directions are given on the voice mail greeting even if no one answers the phone, which they probably won't.  For any other questions or issues, please call me.

Hi Again,

Sorry for the "yechy" result of that prior message. That's what I get
for attempting to copy content from the site into Outlook and
expecting it to maintain the formatting.

Please go to the site at http://groups.google.com/group/drumatic-expressions
for a MUCH more legible and prettier version of what I just sent.

Thanks, sorry for the 2nd message, and hope to see you Saturday.

Stu
