Hello, Happy New Year and welcome to another 12 opportunities to come
together to drum, chant, sing, dance, and make incredible
improvisational music together. Welcome to 2008.

Please go to the DRUMatic Expressions(tm) site at
http://groups.google.com/group/drumatic-expressions
for all of the details if you don't already know them.

Join us for our first installment of 2008 for our monthly drumming,
dancing,
singing, joking, loving, rejuvenating, healing, sleeping (hey, don't
knock
it 'til you've tried it!), circle of life celebration. This is a
non-religious, culturally unspecific, embracing, all levels welcome
event.
All information, skills, and instruments you need are provided, but by
all
means, bring your own (drums, percussion, songs, skills, and YOU).
The
format is never the same, other than the very simple timeline shown
below.
All you need to do is bring your SELF and be prepared to meet some
wonderful
others as well.

We come together on the 4th Saturday of each month at Cedarhurst
Unitarian
Universalists <http://www.cedarhurstuu.org/> , 2912 Club House Road,
Finksburg, MD. Office # (410) 861-8820. The ONLY reason to call their
office is if
you're on the way, need directions, and can't reach me. All details
about
the circles are below, but if you have questions, ask me.

While there is no official "cost" for attending, I ask for donations
each
month to support Cedarhurst in gratitude for allowing us to use their
incredible facility for the circle. Please give what you can. I
suggest a
minimum of $5 for each person participating. Certainly give more if
you can
and are willing. If you absolutely can't, I understand.

Schedule:
7:00-7:30 pm Introductions, Overview, and Basics of Hand Drumming/
Circle Etiquette
7:30-9:00 pm Facilitated Circle - Improv. Drumming and Music, Games,
Dancing, Fun
9:00-10:00 pm Group Facilitated "Outer Limits" - We go where we go.
Ensemble journey.

Come join us. Play, watch, listen, sleep, talk, connect, and enjoy.

Hope to see you Saturday night!
