I learned great drum solo choreograhy by watching Adam Basma's newest
DVD which features his dancers in a very long concert with many types
of Middle Eastern folk dances and belly dances. (I got the DVD through
is site at
www.adambasma.com) The dance I liked the best is called
"Little Girls Drum Solo" showing a group of little girls doing an
amazing dance in perfect timing to his musicians percussion section.
Everyone agrees that the percussion on his CD's is the best on earth -
absolutely incomparable...
Although I am in my mid 40's and an amateur, copying the little girls
dance has boosted my drum solo dancing to the professional level. Is
this dance just for little girls because when I perform at friend's
birthday parties and even my friends baby shower the audience thinks
it's advanced professional????
