Dear Doc,
Thanks fo your kind information. It is indeed alarming to see that the native pigs are declining rapidly. However, DoL is also doing the best to preserve the indigeniuous breeds, not just pigs, but also indigenous poultry and cattle which were equally under serious threat over the past years. More emphasize should be placed to preserve local breeds, especially the Livestock development policy, which is still under "Draft" should encompass more on the local breeds preservation and promotion.
