CoRRB is organizing a semiar on egg incubation technique by Dr. Sujit Menon, consultant at Pertersime nv, on 18th April, 3-4.30 pm. I on behalf of CoRRB would like to invite all gonorpas to the talk. This is the first livestock-related seminar we could arrange, so please do come and pack the hall to capacity. if you know of any private individuals working in hatchery, please inform them.
I have also sent the following message on moaf website.
CoRRB lectures and Seminars Series
CoRRB will be organizing a seminar titled, “Nuances in incubation techniques to cope with the discerning demands of embryogenesis in modern genetically advanced commercial broiler and layer strains” by Dr. Sujit Menon, who is a consultant at the Petersime nv.
Venue: Department of Livestock conference hall, Thinphu; Time: 3 pm - 4.30 pm; Date: 18th April 2012.
An abstract of his talk is given below:
Research and genetic advancements in poultry breeding are producing strains of commercial lines with better FCR, higher meat yield, greater efficiency, superior eggs per HH, more commercial day-olds per parent etc. These are resultants of severe genetic pressure on selection. In response, as a natural trade-off, the demand for precise incubating conditions has become imperative for optimal exploitation and exhibition of the genetic potential ensconced within the hatching egg. The margin for error is ever reducing, emphasizing the compulsion to provide for specific and unique ambiance for each set of eggs incubated depending on breed, age, strain, storage time, etc. Dependence on artificial intelligence to monitor and manipulate the essential parameters
controlling round-the-clock embryogenesis is imperative.
This talk is aimed at enlightening upon the nuances in computing which will monitor, alter and control the essential parameters influencing embryogenesis in tune with the very explicit and distinctive needs of the embryo in synchrony with the environment. The ‘Bio-Response Incubation TM’, a system that endeavors to bridge the man machine interphase and its contribution towards optimizing and easing the commercial incubation process will be detailed.
In this regard, CoRRB would like to warmly invite all interested individuals from the government and private bodies to attend the seminar. To help us arrange tea and snacks accordingly, please send an email to eeud...@yahoo.com or call 17650075 to confirm your participation. Thank you.
Director, CoRRB
