Hi, All,

I need to delete a few datasources from the web console. I click on
the wrench next to the datasource and give me a drop down. The last
two items of the drop down are "drop datasource(disable)" and "Delete
unused segments(issue kill task). Which one should I use? Can someone
point me to the right way?

I want to remove all data of that datasource from deep storage,
metadata etc. So the datasource will be gone.

You need to use both commands:

1. Mark as unused the segments which you wish to delete.
2. Delete unused segments (issue kill task).

first one make segment unused and segments dont load from deep storage. you cant use unused segments dats for query etc..

you can only delete unused segments from deep storage. 

so you must use both of them to delete
