Private vs. Public Drug Rehabs

Drug rehabs how do you know what works? With rehab centers keep constantly making headline news because of Ms. Lohan and Ms. Spears, you start to see how many drug rehabs are out there…there is an endless selection. Every city has at least a dozen to choose from. There are either gigantic centers that are nationally recognized or there are small intimate ones. There are the drug rehabs that seem more institutionalized like, more like a hospital, and other drug rehab centers that are private, residential, like a bed and breakfast.

Why the difference? Are the hospital like drug rehabs for people that need prescription medication and constant monitoring? These centers make the clientele seem more like sickly, removed from world patients—they look miserable.

The private drug rehab centers seem to give a more caring, nurturing approach…like they are cradling people that have gotten hurt and need a shoulder to lean on.

I would totally go to one of those drug rehab centers; I really can’t understand why anyone would select the institutional-like drug rehab center??!! But people pick those big empty rehab centers so that is why I am sure there is a reason for the difference????
