Dear Professionals,
If you had all the powers, what are the few things you would like to change in the Indian library scenario? I have following things in my mind:
+ DDS: Efficient Document Delivery Service with reasonable Indian pricing
+ Union Catalogue: Create a OCLC-like union catalogue for major libraries in India
+ Resource Sharing: Promote a resource sharing ethic among the library professionals
+ Training facilities: Provide training facilities on IT applications for library professionals through-out the year. It can be weekly or bi-weekly program as the need be.
Please add to this list anything you feel needs immediate attention of the powers that be for us to have a system where people are drawn to libraries.
