I have a case where I need to connect to a dropwizard Rest API via AJP connector through Apache webserver.
How can I set up the AJP port in jetty.

I tried java -jar start.jar OPTIONS=Server,ajp etc/jetty.xml etc/jetty-ajp.xml .. but did not work.

Any help is appreciated.

Regards
Sathish

Is it a requirement for you to use AJP? According to http://wiki.eclipse.org/Jetty/Howto/Configure_AJP13, it's use is deprecated (for the reasons listed, such as performance is better with HTTP) and has been dropped in Jetty 9. Can you not use Apache's mod_proxy so you can just use HTTP?

I think you'd have to define a new connector type (which, with my limited knowledge, appears to involve modifying the ServerFactory class). Given that AJP is discouraged (and when you start using Dropwizard that has Jetty 9, you won't have the AJP option at all), I'd say that it's not really worth exploring.
