[ANN] Dropwizard 2.0.x EOL: January 31, 2023

Hey folks,

The Dropwizard 2.0.x version line was started almost exactly 3 years ago on December 9, 2019 with the release of Dropwizard 2.0.0 and served us well since then.

With Dropwizard 2.1.x, there is a stable successor in place and we think it is time to send Dropwizard 2.0.x into the sunset.

ℹ️ The official end of life for Dropwizard 2.0.x is January 31, 2023.

While this date is not too far into the future, we think that the migration effort to Dropwizard 2.0.x is small enough so that it can be done on relatively short notice.

Please refer to the official Upgrade Notes for Dropwizard 2.1.x.

The EOL date is in sync with the EOL date for Dropwizard Metrics 4.1.x: dropwizard/metrics#3029
