My apologies if this is something straight forward but having just purchased Drop Synch I would appreciate any advice on the following -

I currently have two external drives (which I shall call A & B ) which contain many thousands of photographs within different folders.
Drive A is the drive used as the primary drive which I work with, while Drive B is purely a backup drive for safetys sake.
My wish is that specific folders in drive B mirror exactly those held on drive A.
However when I "Synched" the two drives I discovered that instead of the two drives mirroring each other, Drive A simply copied files or folders over to Drive B that hadn't previously been copied.
The problem with this is that I am continually downloading files to Drive A that I at a later date I might edit or delete.
Obviously having amended or deleted the files on Drive A, I want these changes to be reflected on Drive B so the folders contain the exact number of updated files as A.
I would therefore appreciate any advice as to what I'm perhaps doing wrong and how best to achieve identical folders on both drives.

Many Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for purchasing the app.  DropSync has file deletion turned off by default and it sounds like you need to turn it on.

You can find out more info about deletions in DropSync’s help book.  Try the link below and scroll down to the section called “Deletions”

I want to do the same thing.  Mirror 2 drives.  Does EACH folder within the drive have to be specified or can you set it up to just duplicate the whole drive?  I had an older folder pair set up and ran it.  It copied the LIghtroom catalogs just fine but it completely missed the "Portugal" folder that had been added to the A drive.  I inadvertently lost over 1,000 images for good, from my last trip, so I'd like to know how to do this. How do you specify Everything from A to B?  Thanks.
