We have about 20 XLS files.

But they are difficult to understand by non-tech teams.

Is there a GUI like with GoRules that we can use instead?

We are using Drools 6.5 at this point, so Ideally we would like to stay there, but are open to upgrade if really needed.

Thanks!

Upgrade is always recommended, you may put yourself in a corner using
outdated and not maintained versions.

Unfortunately, so far, no built-in UI for doing the decision table for
Drools DRL. There's a DMN editor, but it's a different thing.

I thought KIE Workbench was a GUI to do it?

Why do you say the DMN Editor is a different thing? It appears to be exactly that, an editor for rules. Or what am I missing?

Workbench/Business Central is not continued, sandbox is the webtool
available now.

DMN is different in several aspects, it's a different engine, you
can't mutate data in DMN. DMN is an open standard by OMG.

Business Central is old deprecated web based workbench that you could
author different types of assets and deploy directly from there.

DMN is an OMG standard for decision, that is also supported by Drools.
Although part of Drools, DMN implementation is different from DRL
Drools.
