missing dependencies of droolsjbpm-integration 7.74.0.Final

Hello,

We are unable to upgrade from jBPM 7.73.0.Final to 7.74.0.Final due to missing artifacts for optaplanner version 7.74.0.Final.

jBPM 7.74.0.Final has a dependency on OP 7.74.0.Final per droolsjbpm-integration (https://github.com/kiegroup/droolsjbpm-integration)

OP 7.74.0.Final was released last week https://github.com/kiegroup/optaplanner/releases/tag/7.74.0.Final

The problem is the artifacts are not available in Maven Central.

Please advise. Also opened https://issues.redhat.com/browse/PLANNER-2930.

Hi Jason,

OptaPlanner has moved to 8 long ago, it wasn’t expecting to have any remaining dependency to 7.74 with any Planner v7; however we might have overlooked something… if this is the case, could you point us where you are finding this dependency?

Hi Alex,

jBPM 7.74.0.Final was released 2 weeks ago on 6/28/2023 (https://github.com/kiegroup/jbpm/tree/7.74.0.Final). For the 7.74.0.Final release, in addition to the jbpm project itself, several other dependency projects were also released with the 7.74.0.Final tag.  OptaPlanner is one of the dependency projects that was also released.

We're attempting to upgrade from jBPM 7.73.0.Final to 7.74.0.Final however we've run into an issue with the 7.74.0.Final OptaPlanner artifacts not being published.

Here's an example dependency path that's failing:
org.kie:kie-server-spring-boot-starter:7.74.0.Final (https://central.sonatype.com/artifact/org.kie/kie-server-spring-boot-starter/7.74.0.Final)

- org.kie:kie-server-spring-boot-autoconfiguration-optaplanner:7.74.0.Final

- org.kie.server:kie-server-services-optaplanner:7.74.0.Final

- org.kie.server:kie-server-services:7.74.0.Final

- org.kie.server:kie-server-parent:7.74.0.Final

- org.drools:droolsjbpm-integration:7.74.0.Final (https://central.sonatype.com/artifact/org.drools/droolsjbpm-integration/7.74.0.Final)
- org.optaplanner:optaplanner-bom:7.74.0.Final

We can see that OptaPlanner release was tagged however the artifacts are not available.

I get the compilation error of org.optaplanner:optaplanner-bom:pom:7.74.0.Final was not found

Hi, it’s a known bug see

jBPM 7.74.1.0.Final should fix this problem, please try it

I see 7.74.1 also has a lot of vulnerabilities
