Drools Version 9.44.0.Final

Team,

I am new to this group, However we have been using Drools since 3 years for now. we are now migrating from version 7.60.0.Final to latest version 9.44. (Due to Vulnerability issues in 7.60.x)

Saw the latest version of Drools released was in September 2023. Post that there are no releases.

In case if there are any vulnerabilities identified further, will we have a new version of drools released? or we have to migrate to Kogito itself for any latest version updates.

Also, we are not using any workbench as such, our's is a batch application, using our custom spring application framework to load needed drools at server start-up and inject into Kie, execute all rules and then kill the server(Pod) post batch execution completes.

Can I get to know, what should be our overall way-forward. can we live with using Drools like we are using today or do we need to migrate to Kogito in near future.

Also Is there any cost involved.

Please provide me detailed updates / Links to go thru.

Drools is now part of the Apache Foundation, here’s the repository

There will be definitely new releases, it’s a work in progress currently. You don’t need to migrate to Kogito if you don’t use any of its features (besides, Kogito is in the same situation as Drools release-wise)
