Google "(song name and artist) site:y.qq.com" or "(song name and artist) site:music.163.com" for the song you want to search, you will find results from QQ Music or NetEase Cloud Music (they're Chinese streaming platforms (similar to Spotify or Apple Music) that support synced lyrics, the collection is massive),
And now you have it, I've been doing this for a while and have been able to find 200+ English songs' LRC lyrics (with 99% success rate, it's usually available on one platform or the other), you can also find Chinese/Japanese/Korean/any language songs' lyrics in their original language. If you don't like having a seperate file, you can embed/copy the LRC lyrics text into the lyrics field of Mp3 (ID3v2 tag's USLT frame) and some players (previously mentioned MusicBee, foobar2000, MiniLyrics, Musicolet) support that too.
I have been using minilyrics for quite a while now and it is great at downloading the lyrics automatically, and many of them are already syncronized. It has a lyrics editor where you can enter time codes (ie minutes and seconds) for each line. It's not free -$14.95.
As a freeware option i can reccomend evillyrics which works similarly to minilyrics. The interface is a bit rough and can be a little buggy at times but pretty good. Their song database is not huge but if you are willing to do it yourself you should be quite happy with it.
Mp3tag only supports USLT under the name "UNSYNCEDLYRICS". This sounds a bit weird and inconsistent to me, as a lot of popular platforms like Minilyrics, MusicBee, JetAudio supports both the USLT and SYLT. Even though you can make it up by adding a user defined field into TXXX frame, it sometimes won't work properly as it's not the standard way according to ID3v2 standard.
Synchronized lyrics (SYLT) frame is part of the ID3v2 standard, and ID3v2 is hands-down the most used tag for the most used music format (i.e. mp3), thus the support for SYLT is much more meaningful than lyrics3v2.
I wouldn't go so far as to say "most" people, but there have certainly been a few over the years. There are plans to update the lyrics feature a bit in the future, but I don't think it's a particularly high priority - and please don't expect Poweramp to turn into a Karaoke app.
I'm crossing my fingers and hope that mp3 SYLT will be supported in the near future. I have a hard time to catch all the words in songs, might be because English is my third language and some issues with my hearing. So sometimes I will just lean back, listen to music and read the lyrics simultaneously, would be nice with synched lyrics to avoid the scrolling. But what I would like to see implemented before this is switch of lyrics when the next track starts, today you have to close the lyrics reader and open it again on track switches.
I just created the synchronized lyrics for two songs using this steps and I think that it can be done rather painless like this. Maybe I just have to improve the documentation or make the steps more evident in the GUI.
I have put another development snapshot kid3-git20160401-win32.zip, which should contain all the features of the next release. Concerning the synchronized lyrics, I have improved the documentation and put a "Help" button into the dialog to access the relevant section in the handbook.

Hi Billy-J, thanks for the article link. I got everything submitted previously via those steps, including syncing to time. Though the lyrics have appeared on Spotify now for a few weeks, looks like the time sync still isn't working with that message I mentioned above them. However, I went to Musixmatch again tonight and it prompted me to "verify" my lyrics with a "sync pending" status. I did so once again (verifying the sync I'd already done and submitted, and submitting once again). Fingers crossed the lyrics will start scrolling in time with the song soon (maybe a bit of a delay I imagine). Glad the lyrics are at least there on Spotify. We'll see how it goes.
Same for me, as well. Some lyrics sync, some don't. Some tracks maintain sync. Some either stop syncing altogether (with that same message many of you have received in Spotify), or lag behind in sync where the timing was formerly perfect. Frustrating for sure, but I guess I should be pleased the lyrics are there at all?
My lyrics did begin syncing and automatically scrolling finally - I wish I knew why and could provide an answer for others. The last thing I did was go to Musixmatch and "verify" my lyrics with a "sync pending" status. Eventually the lyrics were synced and scrolling. So hope it begins working for you all soon as well! Could just be a long delay?
I had the same issue. The fix is easy though. Go to the sync section of your song and scroll down all the way to the bottom where the last line says "end of lyrics". Just click on it and it will say "END", then click 'Send' button again and you're done.
I just tried the lyrics feature with embedded lyrics and the local renderer. Almost did not find it because the contrast between the lyrics button and the album cover was so low In my case, the embedded lyrics are displayed without line breaks, but with a space instead. Should I send you an example file for testing?
A free, ad-supported Spotify account is all you need to add, edit, and sync your lyrics through Musixmatch. If you link your Spotify Premium account, Musixmatch automatically pairs your Spotify catalog with your Musixmatch Pro account.
Each track that contains the +LYRICS flag is recognized as a lyrics track. Toget started, create a MIDI track called Vocals +LYRICS that contains one clipper lyrics line. AbleSet will automatically create a synchronized lyrics viewbased on this.
Creating these lyrics clips manually can be a chore, so I've created a tool thatallows you to paste your lyrics, synchronize them to your backing track, anddownload them as a Live project containing a track with your synchronizedlyrics:
The lyrics view supports basic Markdown to make parts of your lyrics bold oritalic. To make a part of your lyrics italic, wrap it in single asterisks,e.g. *italic line*. To make a part of your lyrics bold, wrap it in doubleasterisks, e.g. **bold line**. This currently only works on lyrics tracks thatdon't include chords.
If you'd like to align the current lyrics line to the top of the page, you canadd the [top] attribute. To show a number of lines before the current line, you add that number to the attribute, e.g. [top+2] to show 2 previous linesbefore the current line.
To add chords to your lyrics, you can use the ChordPro syntax. As soon as oneline contains chords, the entire song's lyrics track is recognized as alyrics&chords track which changes the layout of lyrics, automatically aligningall lines to the left for better readability. For example:
You can then reference those images in your lyrics clips using their relativepath name. For example, you could reference the image located at "atw/atw 1.png"by creating a lyrics clip named [img:atw/atw 1.png].
By default, images always try to take up as much width as possible withoutgrowing larger than the height of 3 lyrics lines. If you'd like images to fillthe entire screen, you can add the [full] attribute, e.g.[img:atw/atw-bass-1.png] [full]. This is useful for displaying sheet musicpages, for example.
If you're streaming the lyrics window over the network and you know there willbe a 200ms video latency, you can add a negative delay, like [-200ms] insteadto offset the latency and ensure the lyrics stay in sync with your song.
I want to know, as the question suggests how to use synced lyrics retrieved using ID3 Tags. I can get the position in milliseconds and the lyrics, as well as a combination of the two. However, I can't figure out how to use them in conjunction with a Media Player. I want that the lyrics appear as and when the media reaches that part.
The SYLT Editor is a utility to create or edit synchronized lyrics (or text)that is embedded in an MP3 track. "SYLT" is a technical acronym for "synchronizedlyrics or text", and a SYLT frame resides inside an ID3 tag. Many media players support synchronized lyrics, and a few stand-aloneMP3 players support SYLT frames too.
Most editors for synchronized lyrics exist as an add-on (or plug-in) for generalpurpose media-players.The SYLT Editor is a self-contained utility, however, as it allows for closerintegration of the audio playback with the time-stamp editing and a more logicaluser interface.
Some editors or plug-ins for synchronized lyrics save the lyrics in a differentformat, such as LRCfiles. The SYLT Editor, true to its name, creates and edits only SYLT frames, but it supports import and export from/to LRC files.
Creating a new SYLT frame for an MP3 track is a two-step process. First, youenter all lyrics (or other text) for the track. Depending on the desired"granularity" of the synchronization, you can enter one complete phrase of thelyrics on a row, or put each word or syllable separately on a row of their own.In the second step, you add the time-stamps to the lyrics. There is one time-stampper row. The way to enter the time-stamps is simply to play the MP3 track and tapon the space bar at the start of every phrase (or word or syllable, or whateveris on the particular row).
Apple Sing is a new feature that Apple released in December 2022 as part of their streaming service. Available on iPhones and iPads equipped with the latest Apple operating system, Apple Sing transforms devices into portable karaoke machines, enabling subscribers to become the star of the show with real-time lyrics and adjustable vocals.
After all, with Apple Sing coming out and incentivizing their huge user base to listen to their favorite songs over and over again, you want to make sure your lyrics are uploaded and synced with the platform to benefit from this traffic too.
