Tower 3.2 Beta 2 Questions and Suggestions - Custom Video option is nice improvement

Hi,

Firstly the Tower app is coming along nicely now, nice work to all!

I just fired up 3.2 Beta 2 today after reading we can now customise the video source. I configured gStreamer-1.0 on my Ubunutu companion computer to forward C920 video to my phone and setup Tower to the correct port and it works!

• Would it be possible to start video without having to connect to UAV? I found during tested I didn't have the pixhawk powered so couldn't connect and thus the video wouldn't work. I guess this is probably a rare use case.
• The video on tower has many artifacts and slightly lagging, when compared to running gstreamer on laptop to receive video, which gives impressive results. This could be due to my pipeline 
• gst-launch-1.0 -v v4l2src device=/dev/video0 ! video/x-h264, width=1920, height=1080, framerate=30/1, bitrate=4000000 ! h264parse config-interval=1 ! rtph264pay ! udpsink host=192.168.178.25 port=9000

Also there are a few other things I've notice when running Tower on my OnePlus One with 5.5 inch screen.

• Is it possible to change the font size? As most of the basic info text has to wrap onto two lines, and I lose some information (HDOP). See attached image
• Should the 'Return to Me' or 'Return to Launch' option on the top bar should show the distance from vehicle to me and distance from vehicle to home (take off location) respectively? I notice that these always give the same distance (distance to home) even if I follow the vehicle around. 
• Can we change the location of the warning messages. as currently if we have the drawer out (mostly always in my case) the message is hidden. See attached image. Could dock the messages at bottom, just above Arm / Dronie buttons? Or alternatively make the warning text smaller and drop the top of the drawer down a little to allow the full message.

One other thing, is the login to DroneShare keeps failing. I can log in through the website, but through Tower Stable release and Beta both fail. Are other people able to login?

- Not that I know of.

Change font size - possible for devs to make this fit better on a 5.5 in screen. Please file a github issue for this.

Also a great suggestion. Github issue would be great. We're looking to make UI tweaks to improve for situations like this.

Thanks for the feedback! As Phu suggested, please open github issues for the faults you observed.

Regarding the video lag, are you able to quantify it, and are you noticing any differences if you alter your gstreamer pipeline?
