Hello. I am with a company that makes a multi-spectral camera for drones. Many of our customers use this software to plan their flights and it would really help them if our sensor were included in the list of cameras that is built into Droid Planner. I have created an XML file for the sensor so that the camera can be installed manually, but is there a way to get the sensor listed in the software upstream?

Hi Bryan,

To get the camera listed, just provide a pull request to the github page for the project @ https://github.com/DroidPlanner/Tower/pulls.

Here's an example for what the pull request should be like: https://github.com/DroidPlanner/Tower/pull/1412

Thank you Fredia. I am trying to follow the instructions on the GitHub page for this. I have forked the repo and cloned to my computer. Unfortunately I do not see any of the camera files anywhere. In the example pull request you linked to one of the files changed was: Android/assets/CameraInfo/NEX5_16mm.xml

In my clone the directory Android/assets does not exist. Did I check out the wrong thing? I appreciate your help.

Bryan,

The camera config files moved a bit.  Try cloning the project "Dronekit-Android", and put the xml file in ServiceApp/assets/CameraInfo.

The pull request should be to github.com/droidplanner/dronekit-android, NOT to droidplanner/Tower.

Thank you Sebastian. I believe I have submitted the new file correctly. Can you do me a favor and verify that you see the following file in the location you pointed me to? "Sentek GEMS.xml"

Thank you.

Nope.  After putting the file there, you will need to
1. fork the repository
2. commit
3. push to your fork
4. create a pull request

OK. Thanks Sebastian. Clearly this is somewhat new to me. Can you check to see if my pull request is there now?

Yep, I see it.  Now just wait until Fredy has the time to check on it.  It will probably make it into the next release.
