Error connection to Pronom Server

Dear DROID community,

Droid v6.5 does not run on the Windows computer of one of my colleagues, there is the following error message. When I log onto her pc, Droid does the updates & works well. Any idea where the issue is coming from please?

Dear Laurence,

Thank you for your query.

Would it be possible to check the settings in Tools, Preferences and then by clicking the signature updates tab. Under the signature tab try clicking the 'Reset URL to TNA default' button. If there are still errors you could try changing the http to https at the beginning of the URLs. Please see attached screenshot.

The only other thing I can think of is that at the time of trying the server was down. Has this been a persistent error?

I have a few questions that may help diagnose your issue. Is DROID locally hosted. You said when you log into her PC, is this in a different account on the same PC? It would be useful to understand a bit more about the setup?

Hi Francesca,

We are getting the same problem - we have checked in Tools, Preferences and Reset URL to TNA Default, DROID is locally hosted, installed and made available to everyone on the PC. Please see attached verbose error message when attempting to update signature and container files. Any advice?

Dear Francesca,

Thanks for your help. Yes it has been a persistent error for my colleague. DROID is installed by our IT team locally on pcs. We are fearing it could be a user setting issue if there is no other explanation.
DROID works well on my pc. if my colleague logs in my pc, she can use the application. On her pc with her login or mine, it does not work. We are fearing it could be a user setting issue if there is no other explanation.

Hi Iram,

Thank you for reporting this issue. Yesterday we pushed an update that we now realise caused an issue when downloading signature files. It should hopefully now be working?
