Hello Folks,
I've joined the group with the intention of letting you guys know, that in case you need to recover your information from Drobo, you can send it to restoringdata.ca. I've reversed engineered Drobo and I wrote a program to rebuild it. So far we have had 3 successful recoveries with this program and maybe if you need, you can reach us. 
The program is still on development and improvement, so your chances of recovery vary from case to case, but who knows, you might be lucky.
