If someone lives within driving distance, go get them!! You can turn around and sell them for double.

On their Facebook page there’s a listing for a place that a will help someone who wants to buy them. Please feel free to tell anyone you know. Also go to the FB page and check it out….it’s listed under Kaufman Killer pens. They don’t do it there because they were closed down. These animals are shipped to Mexico under very inhumane conditions where they are slaughtered.

THERE IS A RESCUE IN DALLAS THAT WILL TAKE THEM IN IF SOMEONE WILL CONTACT THE YARD AND PURCHASE THE PONIES:

Furry Friendzy
Phone: 214 914-2535
Adop...@FurryFriendzy.org
Py...@FurryFriendzy.org

She says if someone pays for them, she will pick them up.

I have no idea how reputable they are, but it will get the ponies out of the slaughter line.

Thank you for sharing that, Catherine. Some lady wrote and accused me of lying and trying to make a fast buck on these ponies. If I had the $$$, I’d drive down there and get them myself. I’m not very far from the Kauffman facility. Their Facebook page has all the info on the horses they have.

Helen-
They would probably take much less.
How many persons are on this list? What if we all donated $25?
Shall I call the kill pen and get a price?
My phone number is 310-539-4806.

Me again….

If you run across a miniature Aussie, young adult, I’d love to have it. I don’t care about color and although I’d prefer a female, I’d take a male. it should like cats or at least tolerate them. We have Great Pyrenees….and a 1/2 Great Pyr. We also have chickens, geese and horses. The Pyrs are outside dogs except in the heat, when they crash all day in my kitchen. I want a companion dog to cuddle with and take everywhere with me, like my others. Of course, I’d also take a smaller working cow dog. Thanks for considering me. If you have other types of smaller or medium size dogs, please tell me about those. Thanks.

Helen

Hi Helen-
Here you go:
Texas Mini Aussie Rescue
Mesquite, TX 75149
info...@yahoo.com

They have:
LADYBUG. Lady is a small Miniature Australian Shepherd that is 13 - 14" tall, weighs 20lbs and has a docked tail. She is the size of a large Toy Australian Shepherd. She is a sweet, calm, mature and well behaved girl who wants nothing more than to be loved. Lady is a great lap dog however she also enjoys playing with her toys. She loves chilling on the couch, playing with her squeaky stuffed animal toys and playing with another dog who isn't to rough for her small size. Lady would do best in a calmer home where there isn't a whole lot of rowdy excitement. She prefers woman and is shy towards men but with a little patience we think she will warm up to them once they gain her trust. She walks well on a leash, knows sit, stay, crates on command and doesn't mind the cat in her foster home. Lady received a hair cut prior to coming to TMAR and before these pictures were taken. However it will grow into that gorgeous Mini Aussie coat we all love. Lady also has a cute little underbite that gives her that sweet un-Aussie like funny face. She has done great living with the other small Mini Aussies in her foster home. She would be fine with a larger mature dog but she would not do well with a large rowdy young dog who plays to rough. Lady doesn't cause any trouble, is easygoing and sweet at pie!
Lady is fostered in Mesquite, TX.

-Cheers, Catherine Starr

Oh my, Catherine, she sounds too perfect! Do you know if she’s been spayed? I would love to have her. How much? How old is she? If I commit, could the foster home keep her until the end of August or 1st week in Sept.? I’m leaving Thursday AM for El Paso to visit my brother….he’s been in a hospital for about two weeks and is about to be moved into a nursing home. Have reservations back Aug. 30, but may come back a bit sooner. Do you have a picture?

Helen

PS I’m sooo excited!

What? What intrusion? We are talking about rescuing a dog here. No such thing as an intrusion.

Hi Sandi-
Probably not, but does it really matter?
