Hello Carol,
you've received some very sage advise from everyone.
Where are you located?
Always have a helper when driving pairs- preferably someone who understands driving and harnesses to help with adjustments.

Ground driving is a great way to learn how to drive your pair.  Take lessons!
Familiarize yourself with the 'order of hooking/unhooking'  there is a reason for doing it in a certain order to keep from having a wreck.
