Ihave loaded one item from the asset library into ArchiCAD. This works fine and have had no issues, however I have had no luck adding any other objects from the asset library. I can open the asset library, pick and place and item - but this is when the item simply doesn't show up in the model. Is there any reason why this would be happening?
I also had a question on managing lighting. Is there a 'for dummies' guide on this somewhere in the wide world of the internet? Looking for something ArchiCAD specific that uses the 'out of the box' library parts. I'm finding the lighting I put in washes out the scene, no matter what settings I change. Thanks!
Further, there is no ArchiCAD - Enscape guide regarding lighting yet. We plan to release a lot more tutorial videos in the future to target these areas and we know that there is demand for them as well. Maybe you could also send me a screenshot of the scene which seems washed out? In addition to that, you can also gladly send me the project of yours and let me know what you're trying to achieve lighting-wise and I can setup the scene accordingly.
We are having the same problem here. I am working with enscape 2.5 and archicad 22 in teamwork. I added a few enscape trees serveral weeks ago, but i can no longer add assets now. Thinh's workaround does work for me, but it is not ideal.
georgia.p , thinhpham , matthewbolton , DGD-Duane , we're currently busy with finding the cause behind this issue, so it would be very helpful if you could kindly send in a dedicated feedback report as described here! Please also add your forum name or the title of this thread in the submission from so that we can easily connect the data.
On top of that, it would be fantastic if you could also send the/a project alongside with which the asset placement is not working. You can simply add the link to download the project in the feedback report itself! The project can be, for example, uploaded to wetransfer, or anywhere you like.
I'll send a report with the feedback button. I found out today if i use 'reserve all' function in teamwork, then i am able to place assets normally. So it seems like there is a problem with the teamwork function and enscape asset placement. Unfortunately i cannot send out the file i am working on, but if i find some extra time i can see if i can reproduce the issue in a new project file.
I've been able to reproduce this issue. So I can now take a closer at what's happening and fix the behaviour. I can't give you a timeline on when I've been able to fix this as I've just now been able to reproduce this, but I just wanted to inform you that we're now working on a fix for this.
Could you briefly elaborate a bit further on what you're referring to with "is not working" exactly? Is this behavior related to this specific thread, or can you maybe simply not use our library due to connection problems? If it's the first, kindly try the short guide provided by Arne above.
Overlay callouts In Thumbnails view, the name of the file is shown on a black overlay at the bottom of the thumbnail. When you move your pointer over the thumbnail, this overlay scrolls up, covers the thumbnail, and reveals clickable buttons. One button lets you select the files, and the other opens a detail panel with more options.
Podcasting support through RSS You can use the RSS feature of the asset library to set up podcasting for audio or video files that are stored in Asset Library. Site users can subscribe to the RSS feed for the library to receive new content as it is added via podcast. To learn how to add audio or video to a newsfeed post, see Add features to a newsfeed post.
Digital asset content types The Asset Library is pre-configured to support content types for image, video, and audio files. These content types include columns that enable you to track metadata that is specific to rich media assets. To learn more about content types, see Introduction to content types and content type publishing
Automatic metadata extraction for image files When you upload image files to an Asset Library, any existing metadata for the file is extracted and promoted to any available corresponding columns in the library. Automatic metadata extraction is supported for the following image file types: BMP, GIF, ICO, JPEG, PNG, and TIFF.
The Asset Library, located on Studio's Assets tab, is a repository that creative agencies can use to upload and organize Rich Media creative assets. Assets can be used in multiple creatives, so agencies can share them across various campaigns in their Studio account. They can easily pull them into new creatives.
Dynamic creatives: You can use the Asset Library to host your dynamic assets and easily reference them from within your dynamic feed. All assets will use a secure protocol automatically.
Use the left-hand panel to navigate through your asset folders. All of your Advertisers, Campaigns and Creatives you build in Studio are automatically added as a folder into the Asset Library. There are four different types of folders you'll see in the Asset Library:
Advertiser folder: Advertiser folders are created by Studio. There is one advertiser folder for each advertiser in your Studio account and it contains subfolders representing each campaign for that advertiser. If you'd like to share assets across all campaigns of an advertiser, you can create your own custom folders at the advertiser level and put advertiser-wide creatives there.
Campaign folder: Campaign folders are also created by Studio. There is one campaign folder for each campaign of a given advertiser. A campaign folder contains all the creative assets for that campaign and may contain creative subfolders. If you want to further organize your campaign-wide creative assets, you can create your own custom folders within the campaign folder.
Creative folder: Created by Studio, creative folders contain the creative assets used in a particular creative. You can't upload additional assets to a creative folder in the Asset Library Tab. However, you can upload assets into a custom folder, see below.
Custom folder: You can create custom folders directly within your account-level folder, or in either the Studio-created advertiser or campaign folders to further organize your assets. However, you can't create custom folders under the creative level in the Asset Library.
When you navigate to a folder that contains assets, you'll see the assets listed in the Asset Library. Each asset uploaded to the Asset Library or synced over from the Creatives tab will be identified with a special icon. Here is a list of icons and some of the types of assets they stand for:
Last modified: Indicates when the asset has been most recently modified. When you replace an existing asset with a newer version, the date for Last modified will get updated to the date of the most recent upload.
The Creatives tab is where you manage your Studio account, the advertisers you work with, their campaigns, and the creatives used in their campaigns. You can create new advertisers, associate the advertiser with your Campaign Manager 360 or Google Ad Manager account, create new campaigns and roadblocks, and create new creatives.
The Assets tab is different in that it's where you upload and organize creative asset files used throughout your account. The folders that Studio automatically creates in the Asset Library mirror the advertiser-campaign-creative hierarchy created in the Creatives tab. You can also create your own custom folders within the system-level, advertiser-level, and campaign-level folders in the Asset Library.
An asset library is an online repository that helps brands store, source, manage, and share critical digital files. Asset libraries are a great way to store any type of media. People use asset libraries to centralize photos, logos and color palettes, music files, video, text, documents, templates, audio files, animations, and more. Brands use asset libraries to organize their most important digital IP (intellectual property).
Used the Asset Library, and I guess it works... but...
1.
What bothers me is that I can't add custom folders. For me who have loads and loads of images. It would be perfect to be able to add each sections images to a separate folder, and add an individual name to it. In addition it would, I guess, reduce the stress on the performance trying to generate thumbnails of 1000s of images each time I try to fint a specific one.
2.
It would also be perfect if I could search on a title and remove duplicates. Because right now - the search function seems to be out of order.
The Asset Library is a pretty new feature on Squarespace, and hopefully will have more functionality in the future. Certainly the type of thing that's worth requesting as a feature, I certainly wouldn't mind being able to group images into folders!
I'm a newbie here with Squarespace, and love the new Assets Library. But I know right away I need a way to sort all of my images with folders, and the ability to move them around in the list. I've been trying to find a "requested features" page, but I've had no luck so far...
Like jonnypuma it's pretty much a deal breaker for me not to be able to have subfolders in the asset folder. It also seems you cannot change the asset name once unloaded or even use tags as a way of sorting. And yes, once you have even a modest number of images in the library it's not loading thumbnails fast enough to be able to look through them quickly. I'll put in a feature request but will be having to get my 14 day trial refund if there isn't a reasonable prospect of this quickly I'm afraid.
