As of 5:00 pm EST 3/4/2015 Drive On Wood will be frozen. This means no new posts will be allowed, but you can view old ones.

We are transitioning to new software, and this process will take a few days (at most). When we return, the new site will contain all the posts from the old one. You will need to reset your password.

Stay tuned for updates!

Thanks
Chris

Data transfer was delayed today due to heavy snow. Still on track though.... Hang tight.

Do you have to do all that manually or let the computer move stuff? Sounds like a major task! Keep up the good work.

Both. Right now all your old posts are on a USB drive downtown, waiting for me to physically retrieve them. Hence the snow delay. Roads are clear now, I'll head down there this morning.

Once we get the import started, it takes a couple hours to process. But if something goes wrong, we'll have to start again.

Website preview is now available at http://forum.driveonwood.com. Full transition will happen on Monday, but if you're itching to get on and post, it's ready now.

All accounts have been transferred but not the passwords. You will need to reset them.

2. CLick the "Log In" button (blue, top right)

3. Click "Forgot password".

4. put in the email you used for your old DOW account.

5. Use the emailed link to reset your password. You're all set!

Additionally, you may want to change your email-based username and your avatar, fill out your profile, etc. Usernames can only be changed for the next 14 days, do it soon.

You'll notice in some old posts there are links instead of pictures. This will be updated by the system shortly. Many other tweaks and fixes will follow in the coming weeks.

If you have questions, there's a "try it out" thread, a few getting started guides to read, or you can email me with specific needs.

Thanks again for your patience, and welcome to Drive On Wood 2.0!

Chris

Please note that we had to redo the whole import this afternoon due to a severe photo issue. Some posts made between Saturday morning and about 6pm Sunday evening (maybe 3-4 total) have been lost. If you had reset your password during that time, it will have to be reset again. Sorry for the setback! But from now forward it all looks good, and there won't be further reboots (Lord willing!).

The website will be very slow for about 2-3 more hours while it processes the remaining photos and posts. I've had reports that password reset emails are severely delayed right now, up to an hour. Just wait until tomorrow (Monday), and it should be back to full speed.

I am adding Premium status to members in batches, fast as I can; about halfway done as of now. if you want access a bit faster, just email me at drive...@gmail.com

Regards
Chris

I am not able to log in yet. Is it too soon?
