The calibrated programs were used to develop load-deflectioncurves for different pile diameters ranging from 0.2 to 2.0 m. The individualpile diameters tested in both models were 0.2, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0,1.25,1.5, 1.75,and 2.0 m. The solid lines in Fig. 4 represent the results from theVERSAT-P3D analyses. The dotted lines show the results from the LPILEprogram. Up to 45 mm of lateral displacement, both programs giveapproximately similar results. As the displacement increases beyond 45 mm,the LPILE load-displacement curves begin to fall away from the VERSAT-P3Dcurves, and at displacements greater than 60-70 mm the differences becomesignificant, especially for pile diameters greater than 1.25 m. The predicteddisplacements of the two models are within 10% for displacement levels up toapproximately 70 mm.
