TheSwitch is a personal task light that offers extremely lightweight, unmatched versatility. Dual Ultrabright LEDs mean that you have more options for light colors, and multiple brightness modes in a tiny package.
Depending on your needs, the Switch can run on a night vision preservation specialty color mode, or switch over to a brighter white LED. (Read more about our specialty LED color options here.) Specialty lighting colors are important during tasks that require night vision preservation and the Switch will always turn on in the low power specialty color mode. A two second hold of the large push button will activate the bright white LED mode for better illumination. Choose your LED configuration in the drop down menu above.
Versatile, smart and tough, the Switch (along with our other MPLS Helmet Lights) were created with our exclusive flexi-neck design allowing you to direct light where you need it, regardless of the angle of your helmet.
These lights are designed for water resistance to splashing and quick dunkings. If a light with a IPX4 rating is accidentally submerged for a longer period of time, the batteries should be removed and the cabinets should be carefully inspected for signs of battery leakage. If water has entered the housing, the light should be dried and batteries replaced.
The Ultrabright LED is bright and efficient. The smooth, white, wide-beam light emitted by Ultrabright LEDs is ideal for close to mid-range tasks. Ultrabright LEDs are usually grouped together to offer a more powerful light source. Advances currently underway will continue to improve the efficiency and brightness of Ultrabright LEDs. "Ultrabright" can also be yelled when using the term in conversation, but not nearly as loud as "Maxbright".

I've trusted this helmet for any lift access/shuttle riding I've done in the last six years, and am glad to have done so. I've unfortunately also taken some nasty spills while wearing this helmet in that time, one of which was a big enough impact to break the EPS foam in the helmet. Even so, I did not get a concussion or even "ring my bell," which I attribute entirely to the 6D design. Also unfortunately, I have had other instances in other helmets where I did get a concussion, and personally feel that the ATB-1 does offer better safety than anything else out there. I immediately went and bought another one after that incident.
The customer service at 6D has also been incredibly helpful, sending me different size helmet pads to dial in the fit. I recommend these helmets to everyone I can.
Thanks ya'll!

The ATB-1 Helmet is the trusted choice of professional and recreational athletes in BMX and downhill disciplines worldwide. From UCI World events to the local mountain or BMX tracks, the ATB-1 delivers unrivaled protection, empowering riders to push their limits with confidence, knowing they're equipped with the forefront of helmet technology.
Most helmet strikes in real-world scenarios are considered low-threshold energy impacts. These impacts fall below the pass/fail thresholds for certification but are still significant enough to result in concussion or more severe injuries.
The 6D concept of 'Optimized Shell Design' encompasses a system in which multiple materials collaborate to enhance protection and energy management. The shell needs to maintain structural integrity to prevent penetration while avoiding excessive stiffness. Excessive stiffness can undermine the helmet's ability to manage energy effectively.

In 2020, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports head injuries accounted for nearly 6 percent of non-fatal occupational injuries involving days away from work. Almost half of those injuries occurred when workers came in contact with an object or equipment while about 20 percent were caused by slips, trips and falls.
Dating back to the 1960s, traditional hard hats protect the top of a worker's head but have minimal side impact protection and also lack chin straps. Without the straps, tradition hard hats can fall off a worker's head if they slip or trip, leaving them unprotected. In addition, traditional hard hats lacked vents and trapped heat inside.
On Nov. 22, 2023, OSHA published a Safety and Health Information Bulletin detailing key differences between traditional hard hats and more modern safety helmets and the advancements in design, materials and other features that help protect workers' entire heads better. Today's safety helmets may also offer face shields or goggles to protect against projectiles, dust and chemical splashes. Others offer built-in hearing protection and/or communication systems to enable clear communication in noisy environments.
The agency recommends safety helmets be used by people working at construction industry and the oil and gas industry; in high-temperature, specialized work and low-risk environments; performing tasks involving electrical work and working from heights; and when required by regulations or industry standards.
Time to bring this back from the dead! I would love this as I like wearing my helmet on the battlefield, but like to show my face in less dangerous areas. Having a key bind for this would make it a bit more convenient to switch.
One thing I know I have issues with regarding the helmet light -- if you are equipping a gun with a mod that has an action associated to it, like laser sight mod, hitting F will only toggle the laser on/off and not do anything with the helmet light. I usually switch to some other weapon, and then I can toggle the light mod.
Yes, as NekoPawtato said, simply hitting F will not turn on the helmet light if you have multiple items that turn on with the F key, like weapon lights, laser sights, and night vision goggles. You would need to press the F key down and select the item that you want to turn on from the radial menu.
Having a helmet light does not turn on when using weapons or items that not equipped with a light or other light producing items isn't a bug... Sorry I don't get that. It worked fine till I swapped out for an undamaged higher level one.
you have to PRESS and HOLD the "F" key or what ever you have bound to turn on flash light and other lights, this will open the radial which then shows the icons of said lights that you can turn on and off.

I realize that this might be a small thing, but the Toggle Helmet function is kind of broken. Clicking on the option in the character menu only toggles the helmet for Shepard, regardless of which character that I have selected. Is anybody else having this issue?
Word recently came down that the Buffalo Bills will not be adding a red throwback helmet this season. I was surprised by that news \u2014 in part because I get the impression that there\u2019s been a fair amount of fan demand for the red lids, and also for a few other reasons that I\u2019ll get to later in this article. Since the red-lidded chapter in Bills uni history has been the subject of a lot of interest and discussion lately, I decided to do a deep dive on it (just like I\u2019ve done for the teams with new throwbacks this year), even though it\u2019s not being brought back in 2023.
