Hi Merwin

I realise that you and the family are in a period of mourning for your departed

sister-in-law whose soul no doubt rests in peace in Heaven.

Christmas comes but once a year and with it our wishes to you and your family for a peaceful and holy

time contemplating the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Hope the New Year will bring tons of good health

and happiness for you and the family.

I attach herewith an ' Ode to Christmas' that you can add to my previous submissions on the website.

Many thanks, also, for your contribution of photos from your family's archive by your bro, Luban.  Without many of those photos which were exceptionally preserved we would not have a record of those early years.   My (archivist) dad had a set of those photos in a massive album which was donated to the GI 's 'reading room' after his death.....but sadly went missing a few years later, when I tried to retrieve copies for the website.   You will be happy to know your photos of the school and the buses were colorized and featured in our 2022 animated DRGS Christmas Greeting, which can also be found on the website.  I am attaching a copy of those 2 photos as well as a photo of our dads who were on the school's board of governors.   I'm sure they are looking down on us and smiling.... as they see us collaborating.

I was browsing on the internet and came across this video clip about a former classmate, Shiraz Rabady, in Vienna, Austria. I know that I missed this deadline but perhaps this may be suitable for the next edition. I am also adding instructions for accessing the video if you feel it is necessary.

Appreciate the initiative.  Always wondered where Shiraz ended up and I am sure this would be of interest to our troops.  We will send you a draft web page for your review in a few days...to your email address.   More than likely we will need some help with the final translations as the German to English (Google Translate) translations  were not perfect.

Great to see the video of our classmate Dr. Shiraz Rabady. His hairstyle is the same! Thank you Bel, for sharing this bit of nostalgia. I often think about all our classmates, especially the ones we haven't heard about since we finished school.
