Cannot create, copy, or rez objects because "the server is full."
This error message has come up several times this morning in Second
Life. Anyone know the reasoning behind it? Have we reached our maximum
polygon capacity?

Yes we were close to the limit.  For now I returned objects to some people not on the wiki People list:

This is something about which I have been somewhat concerned.  There certainly are objects on DI that are not necessary.  I will also contribute to the conservation of prim space by removing the little park I placed weeks ago at the lower jaw of Mario.  And will look for other space saving measures on my floor.

I know many ways to preserve prims so if anyone wants tips let me know
and we can schedule a time in world where I can show you the tricks.

Thanks Chris!  Will you be at our next workshop Friday Aug 24 at 10:00 in Disque 109?

I will try to be.  It depends at what time I am needed to be on a set to shoot a film project.

Or I'll eat yah.

Something else we need to put on Friday’s agenda is an attack on DI that occurred late yesterday (8/22) afternoon by a well equipped griefer.  S/he placed nearly 100 spinning yellow screaming boxes all over the island topside and underwater.  In the midst of my efforts to delete them I saw the culprit and was able to both include the avatar’s name on the ban list and then physically eject it from DI.  However, not before it also spread hundreds more large plain rectangular blocks all over the topside and underwater.  This avatar only showed a birth date on the profile and it was 8/17/07—obviously this was not a newbie.  My guess is that this person comes back as different avatars to do its griefing repeatedly.  As an interim step, I blocked building and scripting for any but DI members on several parts of the island.  Most of the griefing occurred on the Drexel side and not the library side, so that is where I concentrated the build and scripting restrictions.  Zaldar was helpful in showing me how to delete the large block items in bunches so that I wouldn’t have to do them one-by-one.  As it was, the cleanup took well over an hour.

Ron - thanks for taking care of this.  With the new settings this should not happen again.
