Salam girls,

Hope you're all doing ok from Sandy.. Alhamdulilah, I'm fine. As you know our eid dinner was supposed to be this Thursday, but we'll have to move it to next week either Tuesday or Thursday.

We should try to meet really quick to talk about the logistics of the dinner.

Also, this is mainly Noran and I but we need ideas for events next semester since we have to propose for a budget each semester. 

I know Nadia, Noran and I are free tomorrow before 1150 am. Is anyone else available anytime before then?

Sorry I wasn't on campus at all monday.  is there any other day we can meet so that we can discuss the event dinner that i believe I am in charge of because I need to know before hand about the menu that we all decide on and etc. So lets plan a date that everyone agrees on and we will go on from there.

Salaam,

I am working with SMILE for Charity and we are headed to Atlantic City this weekend and Monday. They would like all the MSAs to set up a collection area for this week. We may not get a lot of response but if we let people know you never know what Professors and students will drop off.

If anything I was hoping maybe we could buy $50 worth of stuff to bring to Atlantic City. I'll forward a list of items and you guys can let me know. I was going to talk to the Dean about opening a room for people to drop off items.

All items go to 300 Muslim and non Muslim families.

Good idea.. I know Islamic Relief is also trying to do something. and you should perhaps talk to VRC because I think they're also doing a drive at the UC for people to drop off things.

Jiha. It's not that you're in charge of the event. We are all responsible for it.We wanted you to help with food. So How does tomorrow work for everyone?

And wajiha - I just need to need to know the restaurant so I can fill out forms.

So just talked to Marc Gordon and the only day available between now and thanksgiving is next Wednesday the 14th?! So I booked it.. Are you all available on that day? I am normally in NY but I'll leave early on that day

Sorry I just checked this, I haven't been on campus since Wednesday. We can do a call today.  VRC is already doing a drive they just haven't selected drop off locations yet.

okay so I just read this but for the dinner are we all agreeing to the food menu that we ordered last time or do would you guys prefer platters like Nadia suggested for a change lol ?  Salma are we just doing goodie bags or the baskets aswell like last time?
