We need to have a meeting this week so I can give you all tickets, as a volunteer you do not need to purchase a ticket, however you are responsible for 5 tickets, if you don't sell 5 then you must return them on the say of the event. I have to show you how the tickets work... but basically you fill out the persons info, and rip the side and give it to them and you keep the big part.
Also for our fundraising event, if we are having it, I mentioned it and MSA United and IR will sponsor, come to it, help us if we need into. They gave me a poster and a stack of info cards. Also the money is going to West Africa Famine, Specifically the countries, Niger, Chad & Mali. IR is very transparent about where the money is going it will help in one of the following areas: Water & Sanitation, Irrigation, Water wells, Feeding, Education & Orphans. Donations count as Zakat & Sadaqah Jariyyah.
There is an MSA competition for Qurbani, (i thought this was super cool), Basically IR gave us a brouchure slash tally thing, that has all the countries you can sponsor for Qurbani, and the MSA that collects the most wins. The prize is that IR will sponsor any of our events for $750 (first place) $500 (second) I don't remember for 3rd place. I have to get those to all of you ASAP.
As for our specific money situation, MSU treasurer was really nice and she's sending me some forms that worked for NJIT & WPU, to get money out of their accounts for the event. Its basically a receipt system. I'll forward it as soon as I get it.
