I downloaded the trial version of total security yesterday and decided to purchase it. I installed it and activated it butt the app and bitdefender central show it as a trial version. After the free 30 days, will I still have access to the full program?
The trial is for Total Security and currently you have an Iphone still allocated there and for this reason, Bitdefender will display the trial version on that device. The issue is that Internet Security only protects Windows devices, thus the Iphone cannot be added to this subscription.
You may contact our Commercial representatives to request the deactivation of the trial and a subscription upgrade from Internet Security to Total Security and this way you will also have mobile protection.
Basically, while I was looking for a solution to the "Unable to connect to the server" error when downloading the bd free version (which I'm still unable to solve), I accidentally activated Total Security free trial. When I realized this, I removed the subscription from my desktop and then deleted the account (just to be sure, lol). Also, this happened yesterday, so, not a day has passed since the free trial activation.
"If You are a trial or beta user, You may use Bitdefender Solution for evaluation or testing purposes in a non-production environment for thirty (30) days from the date You download Bitdefender Solution (the "Trial Period")."
"Your right to use Bitdefender Solution ends when the Trial Period ends or if You violate any term of this Agreement. Upon termination of the Trial Period, You must delete or destroy all copies of Bitdefender Solution and Documentation and stop using the Service. Your obligations and rights under this Agreement will continue to apply after the end of the Trial Period."
It means that when the trial period will expire, the Bitdefender Total Security solution doesn't goes straight to basic protection, but it simply stops working and therefore it claims that your device is not protected.
In addion to @Gjoksi's above comment, if you still receive the message: "Unable to connect to the server" when signing in to Central, restart the computer then try again to sign in. Also, check for other security solutions and uninstall them before purchasing Bitdefender. Then restart your computer and try again to sign in.
Please note that, Bitdefender products ordered from the official website are subscription based and the discounted price is valid for the first year of subscription only. By purchasing a product, you will be enrolled in automatic billing but you can cancel the recurring payments anytime. Deleting the Central account will not cancel any ongoing subscription, as this must be canceled separately.
In this article, we are going to show you how to install a trial version of Bitdefender. New customers can try Bitdefender before buying by creating a Central account for free and downloading a trial version of the desired product. No credit card is required! The trial has the same features included in the paid version and gives you the chance to test out the product for free for 30 days before buying it. After 1 month the subscription expires, and you will no longer be able to use the product without subscribing to Bitdefender.
When I sign up for Armor in 90 days, will I be given a code for the phone app? All marketing material indicates the two work together as a package, so I don't understand why I would pay $15 annually for Bitdefender/Android. Thanks
The bigger issue now is that Armor loaded on my Orbi as a trial and is still showing as a trial. The subscription I paid for a few weeks ago only seems to be attached to my samsung phone. When I had to give account info for the Netgear Armor, it seems that I now have two accounts. One has my private email and the other my work eamail as user name. I think the subscription just pulled my work email from my phone and set up a different account. So how do I consolidate the two accounts into one? Part of the problem is that my first NetGear account was for my Arlo system and that works fine. Again, thank you
Hi @camhead, thanks for the update! As for the subscription issue, it's best to reach out to Bitdefender for them to sort it out on their end and have your accounts consolidated. You can reach them here.
Evidently Bitdefender doesn't allow me to actually ask a question. It appears they charged me $69+ to cover only my phone and want the same amount for my router (which was the only service I wanted; my Orbi router). I did searches for router, orbi and it found nothing.
Hi @camhead, some users in the community have reported that they were able to reach Bitdefender and have some of their registration and subscription issues sorted out for them. I have sent you a message. Please check your inbox.
So basically today my free trial with Bitdefender total security ended and I thought it would go straight to basic malware protection, but it didn't. It's saying that my device is now unprotected. Someone, please help because I don't understand what's going on.
It means that when the trial period will expire, the Bitdefender Total Security solution doesn't goes straight to basic protection, but it simply stops working and therefore it claims that your device is not protected. If you wanna keep using the Bitdefender Total Seucrity solution, you must buy it.
If you are talking about the bitdefender mobile security, after your trial gets over, you will only be left basic malware protection. The other services like web protection, privacy protection etc will get disabled.
Yes, after you've purchased the subscription, you would just need to log out of Mobile Security and log back in for it to resync to your Central account and your subscription. If anything else was needed, you may need to uninstall it and reinstall it, which on Android, is quick simple and easy.
The Total Security is just that, the Total Security package, so no, it will not revert to the free edition, it will just come to the end of your trial period to either purchase it, or your need to uninstall it.
Im wanting to know so if i had reached that limit but had to bring up a server temporary without taking down any other servers can i license the server still if overall i have enough licenses to cover one extra machine.
If i had 10 licenses, 3 were being used for servers and 6 were being used for work stations and i had to temporary being up another server (a server OS), giving me a total of 4 servers, 6 workstations because i have 1 free license would the software allow me to install Anti-virus on that server to protect it.
Now to your example, you have a 10 user Business Security, and have 3 servers already installed. Yes, you can load Bitdefender on the 4th server, but it will only operate in 30 day trial mode until you add an additional 3 licenses. Those licenses will be pro-rated to your existing anniversary. DM me if you have any questions, sir.
Im currently looking at replacing my Comodo ESM with a different product (due to it being EOL) and one product was BitDefender. At this stage im running it as a trial to see what it is like, and the licensing is confusing. It appears i would need to double the licenses required to cover servers and any potential run ups that i might require.
Also, as a Crypto/Ransomware Prevention Specialist, there are known vulnerabilities, that if not addressed, systems can get Ransomware no matter what the A/V program is. When the hacker is logged into a system as an admin, there is nothing that any A/V in the world is going to stop him. If your A/V vendor is not addressing these issues with you, then they are negligent!
There is an additional subscription on top of the AWS Marketplace feeds. The service appears to work as intended for the first month, and then you're sent an email explaining that you were under a trial and need to buy an Enterprise license on their site. Waste of time, false marketing.
It is frustrating because I like this service quite a lot. It is very easy to deploy and manage but there are quite a few annoyances to deal with.
First off my biggest complaint is that the Gravity Zone console won't allow you to add more than 1 AWS account integration. We manage so many different AWS accounts with hundreds of EC2 and we want 1 centralized console to manage them all, but we can't do that with this.
The console is another annoying thing, it won't let us open anything specific on a new tab. Every time we right click - open in a new tab it opens the main dashboard instead of that specific function.
Well that was a crappy experience.
Tried to download the trial on my EC2 and it gave an error but did not advise what data was a problem.
Tried again and said user already exists.
Tried via web site and could not even find the product.
They need a lot of work.
When signing up for the free service, you have to authorize initially $250.00. A bit on the high side, but lets see. Then when you do the signup, an email comes from Amazon saying you have authorized $3,000.00. At that point it was time to cancel. Sorry guys, you need to work this out better before I come back to actually try this out.
I was going through a list of AV softwares for my linux systems and shortlisted bitdefender as their product guide was easy to understand compared to a lot of AV guides available . I tried their free trial and was amazed with the simple process and easy to use UI. All the doubts which came to my mind were acknowledged immediately and solved at the earliest by Bitdefender team. I had an issue where i was moving EC2 instances across regions where at one given time i would have double the instances, but bitdefender support were able to provide me a solution for the same. Great product, fairly easy to use and excellent support staff !!!
Looking forward for their latest release.
