Dredging Committee Heads Up

It has come to my attention that the Manchester Yacht Club is preparing
applications for private a private dredging to piggyback on the planned
2025 Area E dredging mobilization/demobilization. The project, however,
is quite different from previous private dredging projects in that it
anticipates dredging sea bottom never before dredged and therefore not a
"maintenance dredging", sea bottom that is owned by the public rather
than the club, and anticipates dredging underneath the present MYC clubs
which has the potential to alter the hydrodynamics of the harbor
impacting other areas of the harbor.

I have asked Emmett Holt, Commodore of Manchester Yacht Club, to make a
representative available to brief the committee.  When I hear back from
Commodore Holt, I will schedule a meeting.  I presume that by this point
everyone is more familiar with Zoom than they wish they were.

It has been some time since we last met, so I will add election of
committee officers to the agenda once a meeting date has been set.
