I guess everyone has polished Adam's techniques to perfection. Almost
250 Members and no one has health news, questions or concerns. Glad to
see everyone so healthy ;-)

Hi GEM

I like fire, lightening and waterfall, but on the 2nd workshop I went
to, Adam suggested trying the E packets so I use that sometimes.
I've also found that simple accepting attention is a good help. Often,
we can get in the way of our healing by resisting our condition. By
not accepting it as it is. If you can first just accept it, allow
things as they are, elements of the issue that have an emotional
charge can be released. This allows your healing intentions to be much
"cleaner" and more effective when its not clouded by noise. We can
intend from closer to where it is.

Karma is a word that has a lot of noise attached to it. There is
nothing to believe about karma. It simply means action. And as we all
know for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. So its
all about balance of energy.

The principles of action are very simple but the dynamics get very
complex very quickly. Everything that "happens" interplays with
everything else. Hence it is described as 'unfathomable'. You can't
figure it out. But if you follow the basic principles, it will help
make things smoother.

The function of our mind is to discriminate, to decide. So the mind
will naturally, automatically categorize everything. It will judge
things black or white, right or wrong, good or bad. Sometimes we let
the mind get carried away. We judge things excessively. This is the
source of ideas like "bad" karma or "bad" energy. Energy (the ability
to do action) and action itself have no good or bad qualities. They
simply are.

To take a bigger picture, we live in a sea of energy and motion. What
we perceive is the side effects and consequences of that play and
flow. The mind likes to explain everything, so we find excuses for our
experiences and again sometimes get carried away. The issue is then
that once we "explain" something, the mind tends to filter out
anything that doesn't agree with its assessment. We become as they say
"closed minded".

What we commonly describe as "karma" in the west is more the
consequences of our actions, not the actions themselves. If you
explore the subject, you quickly discover that we really have no
control over what happens "out there". Even our best intentions can
sometimes run amok. What we can control however is how we RESPOND to
what happens.

The mind is a habit machine. It learns the "right" way to do things.
Then when a similar thing comes along, it will then tend to re-run
'tapes' or habits. This allows us to drive a car, walk, speak, and
many other talents. However, if we are not careful, we can run our
whole life like that, on automatic pilot. Like 'zombies'.

We then discover our whole life is this pattern of relationships, of
job experiences, of certain types of bosses, and so forth. We are
running tapes unconsciously and they are playing out over and over.
This is known as the "wheel of karma". It doesn't take past lives to
explain that.

There is a subtle difference between good habits and unconscious
behavior though. Unconscious behavior originates in a resistance. An
unwillingness to accept something. To allow some experience. We may be
afraid of pain or hurt, be afraid of fear. But it comes down to very
basic emotions. Ironically, this resistance causes far more pain than
what we're trying to avoid, often carried forward for decades. At its
root it is the source of all suffering. Not events, not karma, just
our response. Our allowing.

The solution is quite simple. It can take a little time, like peeling
an onion. But the benefits are well worth it. The first thing to do is
pay attention to how you feel. Now. And here and there during the day.
It may not be something you've done in awhile. If you have a strong
feeling about something thats out of proportion to the experience, ask
yourself why. And then just allow the answer to come up. It may take a
little time. When you get to the nub of it, the simple experiencing of
the feeling, just allowing for a few seconds, will be enough to
resolve it. (if not, its not the source) Sometimes you may later find
a huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders. All for some small
resistance, some not allowing of some experience many years ago.

Another thing to pay attention to is how you feel at the time
something is playing out. This gets easier with attention. What that
does is break the automatic pilot and allows you to stop for a moment
(like counting to 10) and check in. Then rather than responding
automatically, you will be responding with sense. With awareness.

And that is the key to stepping off the wheel of karma. Breaking the
age old patterns we condemn ourselves to repeat.

So where do you find your karma? In your blind spots. In your
feelings. In your life.

3 kinds of karma? Well, there are many ways to look at this. There is
action that is "unsprouted", not playing out at the moment. A backlog
if you will. There is "sprouted" action that is underway and may be
cycling in your life. Some of it you will have let go of and moved
beyond. And there is actions you are creating now.

The key again is that when you are true to who you are and act in the
flow (when you see all the "coincidences" in your life), then you are
producing actions but not residual junk that starts to repeat on you.
And the key to that is how you respond to events as they come up.
Including how you feel about them.

So from your list, Intention is essentially mental action. And it is
how everything is. Its all intended, one way or another. Feelings are
emotional action. And of course there is physical action, which always
results from mental and emotional action. Reflection? Another form of
mental action. Less focused intention.

Your review of the three scenarios is followed by your judgment of
them. Thats natural but meaningless from the standpoint of action
itself. We cannot judge the consequences of action with our perception
as it depends on how all involved were thinking and feeling and their
response to the circumstances. We can only know how we feel and
respond, not how others do. That is for them to learn. And its never
so tidy and black and white.

Certainly we should follow the golden rule and all that. We should do
our best.

But see how your judgment is your response to the scenario. How you
feel about that. That is the difference between just experiencing what
is (As Tolle would say) and suffering. And here is the magic in all
this. Believe it or not, when you clear away your stale luggage, what
remains is happiness. Happiness not dependent on circumstances. For
action, its its essence is happiness.

Kind of a long post but its a very big subject.

Hi,
I have thought the same thing for some time, as nothing interesting
ever gets posted. I have come to the conclusion that there seems to be
only Adam on this planet that can do what he does and therefore nobody
has anything to talk about - unless anyone else has mastered the
trance!
However it would be good to talk about our experiences in healing and
visualisations etc..

I think what Adam does is amazing and I got to see him in the UK this
year, but I think us mere mortals need to start off at the bottom and
not try to expect quantum leaps in our abilities. I came across 'The
Secret' earlier this year, which I think became big in America. This
led me on to the original material that the book and CD were based on
by Abraham-Hicks. If you have read any of these books, 'Ask and it is
Given' or 'The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent' then please buy the
CD's as you will learn so much more. (www.abraham-hicks.com). All the
material is channeled through Esther Hicks and they are the wisest
words I have ever heard in my life so far. The CD's will clear up a
lot of questions a lot of people have on the universe, why we are
here, and where we are going, and also how to deal with life on a
daily basis.

According to Abraham we are all part of an ever expanding energetic
universe and we are all interconnected. We are here to create and to
evolve and expand and we do this by having likes and dislikes and
preferences. The more thought you put on to a topic the more you are
attracting it in to your life - good or bad. You can really change
your life around with this material - I promise you.

This leads on to another American that I am smitten by, called Donna
Eden, who can see energy. She has some excellent DVD's which teach you
how to test for imbalances in your own body with meridians and muscle
testing and how to manipulate the energy of your body in to health.
She simplifies the Chinese Meridian and Pulse systems right down to
simple tests that really work. What she does is very interesting and
is probably what Adam does at a basic level.

This then leads us on to "where you put your thoughts, energy
follows", so this is how healing ultimately works, distant or hands
on. I have found that I have become more intuitive with all the work I
have done on myself.
I just want to mention Gary Craig and EFT - another fantastic
American. If anybody has any issues in their life. EFT can wipe them
out in hours...seriously ...try it!!

Let me know if anybody else has come across any other teachers that I
can learn from.
There must be loads out there that I dont know about yet!!!

Being There is an old movie with Peter Sellers
If people mention a movie you don't know about, just look it up on
imdb.com
(international movie database)

What Dreams May Come with Robin Williams is heavy but worth a look.
Deals with death and afterlife, but more basically how we create our
reality.

Actually, there are quite a few movies with a deeper element. Stephen
Simon, one of the people behind Conversations with God and What Dreams
May Come has written a book about such themes in films.

Some, like Peaceful Warrior, are obviously inner. Other more overt
films like Star Wars are founded on a background theme, such as the
Force. Films are in essence an exploration of realities so such themes
are common.

HI,
I am happy that you are on a journey of discovery for healing and
energy work.
And, how interrelated all this thought and energy work is.

What Adam does is not new.
Healing energy work has been around in a variety of forms for more
than a millenium.
It is Adam's techniques and individual gifts that make his work
unique.

There are many many healers on the planet.
There is an international group of Healing Touch people.
http://www.healingtouch.net/
Visit the website for more information. There are four levels of
learning and a fifth for
certification as a healer.
This group also publishes a magazine called "Energy".
There are also many different styles of energy healing. Reiki is just
one.

Barbara Ann Brennan published a good book with exercises to develop
your skills in healing for self or others in 1987.
The first book - Hands of light, A guide through the human energy
field is a great resource for further study and information.

Blessing in light
lolo

I find it just depends on your audience. You communicate better than
many.
If you find people don't like your style, you just have the wrong
audience ;-)
