I had the privilege of attending a promo for a Real Estate Executive Seminar at the Strathmore Business School. The main speaker was the Town Clerk. One thing he said and how he portrayed that caught my attention was the elevated highway / overpass that is to be built over Uhuru highway from Nyayo stadium to Westlands. I have been sceptical about the whole venture ever since I heard about it since nobody has really made the case of why we need it in the first place! If the by-passes (both North & South) are built then there is no need to expand Uhuru highway. Ban trailers and trucks from using Uhuru highway once the by-passes are completed and the traffic problem is solved. The town clerk made the elevated highway sound like it is a prestige project!
