How to join the Dream Life Group...

Hi Maggie,

You have to join the group before it will allow you to email the group. We have set it up this way to stop anonymous people and spam from showing in the discussion lists.

To join the group, go to the group's home page: -

http://groups.google.com/group/dream_life_group

... and click on <Join this group> link at the bottom of the list on the right hand side. I've copied the link here too: -

http://groups.google.com/group/dream_life_group/subscribe

... and follow the instructions about how to join this group.

If you already have a google account, or you want to create one, click on the little <sign in> link at the top right hand corner. Your googlemail.com email address and password (or any other previous google account details) may work to sign in with. Try to sign in with those account details, if it doesn't work, you need to create a google groups account.

To create a google groups account, just click on the <Create an account> link (instead of filling in your email and password), and follow the instructions.

You don't need to have googlemail to join a group. If you still have
problems, one of the group moderators can just add you.

I'm Adrienne Campbell and I've been very involved in helping start up
Transition Town Lewes over the last 15 months. I trained as a permaculture
designer about 15 years ago and have been using integrated design ever since
in all my work. I had my first allotment when I was 17 and also love all
aspects of growing, especially composting and perennial edibles, esp fruit
trees. I've dabbled in most things such as keeping chickens, beekeeping and
preserving food. Over the years I've set up a box scheme, a Lets scheme,
started a community forest garden and an alternative primary school (Lewes
New School, still going).

Now I'm living with a husband and children (3 teens, one 10 year old) in a
terraced house in Lewes with a small garden and am increasingly longing for
a more integrated and resilient way of living, at the edges of Lewes (ie
without needing a car). I also think finding the land is the main problem,
but I am hopeful we will find land as I feel the district council's planning
office might favour such a development. We have some good people in the land
group and also in a sister organisation called Lewes Community Land Trust;
