Quick Mesh pipeline

Hi Michael,

Can I ask you if the quick mesh pipeline uses a Delaunay triangulation algorithm (or something similar like the Alphashape) to set up the mesh objects?

No it splits the facets between voxels with dissimilar objects assigned respectively.

Markus is correct. While the algorithm is very fast, it is also very simple and does not try to do anything fancy. With DREAM3D-NX, we have introduced another meshing algorithm based on the “Surface Nets” algorithm. This algorithm can give subjectively “better” looking meshes but at the cost of higher memory usage.
