Hello,
I am new to Dream.3D and very impressed with the software capabilities.
I am planning to use the software for a research project, specifically looking to create and export a 3D microstructure into Abaqus. I have watched few tutorials on bluequartz YouTube channel and obtained basic familiarity on how to create a 3D microstructure and import it into ParaView to display the generated file. However, I am having difficulty on how to export the generated file into Abaqus for FEA simulation.
I am looking to procced with any of the following options:
1) Export the 3D microstructure as a .stp file from Dream.3D and import it into any FEA software for meshing and then into Abaqus for setting up the BCs, loads, etc., and solving.
or;
2) Export the meshed 3D microstructure from Dream.3D and import it directly into Abaqus and setup the BCs, loads, etc. and solve it.
I would appreciate if you could please provide me with more information on each of the items above and if possible to share a pipeline or tutorial document on how to do the setup.
Thanks in advance for your time!
Milad
