I would like to know how I can segment grayscale images in DREAM.3D. I want to label pores, metal, and air, and then compute the pore sizes—all within DREAM.3D.

Is there any pipeline you recommend I modify, and what modifications would I need to make? I’m very new to DREAM.3D.

Thanks

Hello,
There are a number of image processing filters available with the “ITK” name in the filter. I would do some research on the internet as to which filters to use to process the data to the point where the data can be segmented.

You could start with the Otsu threshold + Segment Scalars filters and see where that gets you.
