Dear Michael,
I am currently working on generating a 3D microstructure from EBSD .ang files using DREAM3D. However, I’ve encountered an issue where the Inverse Pole Figure (IPF) becomes incorrect starting from slice 3. The IPFs generated by DREAM3D do not match any of the expected results along the crystallographic directions [100], [010], and [001], as generated using TSL. This mismatch is illustrated in the PowerPoint presentation and is also visible when visualizing the reconstructed microstructure in ParaView (version 5.13.1), where the IPF colors from slice 3 onward appear inconsistent with the expected orientation mapping.
All the necessary files, including the DREAM3D pipeline, .ang files, PowerPoint comparison, and supporting data, are available in the following Google Drive folder for your reference:📎 Google Drive Folder
I would greatly appreciate it if you could take a look and advise on what might be causing this issue, or suggest any adjustments needed when working with .ang files.
Thank you very much for your time and assistance.
Best regards,
