From vtk format to stl format conversion

Hello Everyone,

I generated 2 phase microstructure using dream3d then using ParaView I extracted 2 phases separately then save them in vtk format. Now I want to convert them into STL file format.

Anybody can help me with how to build a pipeline in dream3D to convert the vtk files?

In order to get the STL files you will need to mesh the microstructure using the “Quick Mesh” filter. You can then add the Export STL files at which point when you run the pipeline an STL file for *EACH* grain will be produced. What is your final destination for the STL Files? If you are trying to get the data into something like ABAQUS there are better ways to do that within DREAM.3D
