Hello everyone,

I have an EBSD scan of an as-printed IN625 specimen produced via LPBF. The scan reveals a significant number of grains exhibiting crescent-shaped or U-shaped morphologies. An example of the observed grain structures is shown below. I would like to know if it is possible to replicate such grain shapes in a generated microstructure based on the EBSD-derived grain statistics.

Hello,
I do not believe that DREAM.3D version 6.5.171 would be able to reproduce this kind of grain structure.
