Hi,

A simple question. Is there a filter in Dream3D that I can read grain size distribution and texture of each phase of a 2-phase material from a EBSD file?

If yes, can it be exported to some kind of text files or readable files, or at least some numbers I can read such that I can input the values to create a synthetic microstructure?

Cheers,

You can do a quick segmentation of your data using the “Segment Features (Misorientation)” and then compute the average Orientations for the generated grains. You can also calculate the sizes of the grains. All of this ends up in the “Feature” Attribute Matrix. You can then Export ASCII Data and export the values for Average Euler Angles and the various sizes to a CSV file.

Take a look at the Prebuilt Pipelines -> Workshop -> Ebsd Statistics -> Morphological & Crystallographic statistics
