Dream 3D compatibility with EBSD Bruker files format ( hdf5

I am new in dream3d and would like to know if dream3d can read Bruker EBSD file format ( 5 or other) for 3D EBSD application.

DREAM.3D version 6.5.171 can read a Bruker Nano Esprit HDF5 data file.

DREAM3D-NX version 7 can also read the Bruker HDF5 file formats.

If you have a “stack” of CTF files DREAM3D-NX can also convert that stack into an HDF5 file (.h5ebsd), then you can read the 3D stack into DREAM3D-NX. (DREAM.3D can also do this but you really want to be running DREAM3D-NX.

For an example of this conversion and then reading of the data take a look in the “Bookmarks” tab and then navigate to the “pipelines->OrientationAnalysis->EBSD Reconstruction” folder. There are 2 pipelines in that folder. The first pipeline shows how to convert the stack of .ctf files into a .h5ebsd file and the second pipeline shows how to read that .h5ebsd file and then perform an analysis.
