How to build the welded zone in DREAM.3D?

Hello All,

I'm trying to make a welded zone in RVE.

I'm making it with Dual Phase steel (so, it contains two primary phase with 0.62 and 0.38 fraction), and the total size is 60*60*60 (resolutions are fixed with 1,1,1)

I want to design welded zone in the center with 60*60*10 size, consequently, this RVE contains 60*60*25 coarse grain zone + 60*60*10 welded zone (fine grain) + 60*60*25 coarse grain zone. 

However, I cannot make it clearly because of the error, how can I solve this problem? 

I attached my .json file.

You will probably have to make 3 different synthetics that form the top, middle and bottom layers, then use the Append Geometry filter to put those all together into a single Image Geometry object.

Dear Michael Jackson,

First of all, I really appreciate for your kindness and fast answer.

While I run the pipeline, one issue has occurred which is showed as ' Data Array Featurelds has a maximum value of 5627 which is greater than the number of features from array NumNeighbors which has 3023. Did you select the incorrect array for the 'Featurelds' array?'.

I constructed the pipeline as follows : 

StatsGenerator -> Initialize Synthetic Volume -> establish Shape Types -> Pack Primary Phases ( I repeat this routine 3 times for making 3 different parts)

After that, I used 'Append Z Slice' for two times because I had to append three parts for making one RVE.

How can I solve this problem?

Once you get all the layers appended together you will need to run the filter “Segment Features (Scalar)” with a tolerance of 0. The output from this filter will become your new “FeatureIds” that you can then use for all following filters like “Find Feature Sizes” and such.

Once you append all 3 geometries together then all “Feature Data” has now become invalid which is why you essentially have to start the segmentation process over again.
