Hi Everyone
i am facing problem during assigning initial texture in ODF tab of stats generator filter. Actually i want to give initial texture in ODF tab using bulk load option, and then i have to export damask file for simulation. My aim is to run damask anlysis after creating micro-structure in dream3d using the same initial texture  but the problem is that when i give initial texture in ODF tab and create micro-structure and export damask files and also i export Euler angles file  using export stats generator ODF angle file filter. My confusion is that why the initial texture and the texture whom i get after exporting is not matching.Because i want to run damask analysis on the same initial texture which i am assigning in odf tab. also i have plotted initial texture using MTEX. but after getting exporting texture from dream3d is not similar. Any solution to this problem. i have attached the mtex initial texture image and the texture image which i got after creating micro structure in dream3d.
Thanks

Hi,

Depending on the number of grains and voxels in your model, you may have a mismatch between your desired and actual crystallographic texture. In other words, you will not hit your "target initial texture" if you do not sample enough points from the desired statistics that you specify in the "StatsGenerator" filter. You can use the filter "Export Pole Figure Images" in DREAM.3D to check the texture generated by the current model instead of doing this in MTEX (it will be faster).

Also, it will be more helpful if you post your DREAM.3D .json pipeline here, and please indicate the version of DREAM.3D that you are using as well as your operating system.

Best regards,
Kris

Thank Kris for information
I want to generate the initial texture as same as i have attached the image below. how is it possible to do that?

Yes that should be possible. Can you attach the exact .json pipeline that you are using and any other files necessary to run the pipeline? How did you generate the last image that you sent?

Best regards,
Kris

Hi Tariq,

You can point to the "odf_rolling.txt" file in the StatsGenerator file as shown below to generate the desired texture. In the "ODF" tab, select "Bulk Load From File" and select the text file. Then click on "Load Data".

Dear Tariq,

I am currently facing the same problem. I use the bulk load from file with > 25.000 entries. The result, however, does not represent the desired initial ODF. I don't know where the problem occurs with the mentioned sampling rate...Did you solve the problem and have an answer for me?

Kind regards
Paul
