I am working on generating STL files from EBSD slices. Following the standard workflow, I first convert the EBSD files into an H5EBSD format, read that H5EBSD file, and then proceed to generate the STL files.
However, there is typically a mismatch in Euler angle units between .ctf and .ang formats. Furthermore, the documentation for 'Read Oxford Instr. EBSD Data (.ctf)' suggests that for hexagonal symmetry, one should use the 'Convert Hexagonal X-Axis to EDAX Standard' option to ensure compatibility.
My question is: Does the 'Use Recommended Transformations' option in the 'Read H5EBSD' filter automatically apply these two conversions, or must they be explicitly applied using the 'Read Oxford Instr. EBSD Data (.ctf)' filter before creating the H5EBSD file?
Best regards,--
