I have ran speccy in order to query the performance of a new Tier 1 lappy. Running VMware workstation seems slower than on my old machine so wanted to check out why. Had a look at the memory of the device, Core 2 4Gb (800mhz according to the book) and Speccy reports 533Mhz FSB ram running at 399Mhz. However, the manufacturer is insisting the memory is actually 800mhz and questions the Speccy software accuracy. They have tested another,faster machine with Speccy and suggest on a more advanced machine with a Core i3 and 4GB of memory at 1066Mhz Speccy is stating that it is a 533Mhz unit.

I've actually done a recent cleaning and even replaced the thermal paste due to these speccy readings. The temperatures actually looked to lower by maybe an average of 3 degrees or so, but I'm not sure if that relates to Speccy being somewhat accurate or randomly pulling up a different reading.

i intalled speccy to get my motherboard stats, i was hit with a warning from VirusTotal via glasswire firewall, in which it said it was detected and sandboxed tested as an infection with 260 serious issues and many more less serious ones

Starting with the fantastic resolver logic form swagger2openapi, speccy has one of the most robustresolvers out there. It avoid cyclical dependencies (when A has a property that $refs A, which in turn destroys your CPU), and all sorts of other things.

Also, if you want to use a specific version, you can reference tags, so docker run wework/speccy could be docker run wework/speccy:0,docker run wework/speccy:0.8 or docker run wework/speccy:0.8.7. These versions follow semantic versioning.

To lint your specifications before committing them you can use lint-staged to run speccy before each commit. Just install lint-staged and husky as devDependencies and add the following to your package.json:

Ran speccy on LG Gram laptop 17ZB90R-K.AA75A9, i7, 512Gb NVME, 16GB DDR4 with no problem. Ran on LG Gram laptop 17Z90R-K.AA78A9, i7, 1TB NVME, 16Gb DDR5 and crashed (Blue Screen) the system. Running windows 11 Home 64Bit on both systems. Error produced "SECURE_PCI_CONFIG_SPACE_ACCESS_VIOLATION" Number 0X000001EA. Still working on it. Tried running 32Bit, 64Bit, stand alone Speccy and as administrator. No change. If anyone has an answer please respond. If no reply, getting ready to reset system in hopes that something went wrong with the install of windows 11 and or drivers.
