Greetings All Beachcombers Worldwide!

Welcome to this new discussion board! It's purpose is to provide a
venue for beachcombers the world over to come together to share beach
treasures, artifact research, good beachcombing sites, beachcombing
tips and anything else related to the wonderful world of beach
exploring.

I know that there are many of you out there. I run into you on my own
beach forays. And I am training new converts all the time - especially
parents and grandparents anxious to find healthful, affordable ways to
turn their kids and grandkids on to nature. In fact, I held a workshop
yesterday for a couple with 2 children from Cincinnati, Ohio. I
believe their 5 year old son, fascinated by fossilized shark teeth and
rocks, has the makings of a future paleotologist or geologist. I've
never seen such enthusiasm on the beach. I could barely keep up with
him!

It will include more additions in my Links section as well as a
Products section that highlights my first book, A Beachcomber's
Odyssey, volume I. (Feel free to pre-order a signed, numbered copy!)
Additional products will be added in the coming months.

For sea glass lovers, the North American Sea Glass Festival is coming
up in Lewes, Delaware in early October. I will be speaking there as
will author Richard LaMotte (Pure Sea Glass) and nature photographer
Celia Pearson. For more information on the festival, check in my Links
section under Sea Glass for the link to their website.

In the meantime, I am looking forward to meeting many new and
interesting people through our discussions on beachcombing. For
beachcombers above the equator, the best seasons to 'comb the shores
are almost upon us and I can't wait. So happy beachcombing to all of
you.
