I started my diagram on one computer, saved it and emailed it to myself to access another computer. Anywhere I open the file except for where I started, it’s in read only mode. Can’t find anything on how to remove this. I want to open and make edits. I’m using draw io on the web.

Are you opening it from the email or from your file system?

I’m going to draw.io and selecting to open an existing file. Depending on where it’s opened, the file shows as XML or .drawio. The files are being opened directly from my computer (not from an email). I saw an option to save the file as an EDITABLE image (.png). Despite editable in the description, it also opened as read only. As a work around, I have to create a copy.

I don’t get it though. I can create a Word document and then open it on any computer and make changes to it and then save it. I can also open directly from an email and while it will open read only, a simple button click puts it into edit. Not at all the case with Drawio on the web.
