Trying to draw a simplistic network diagram with computers, routers and switches along with the cabling interconnections. The main frustration I am having is when I try to draw a connection between two devices the application routes the cable over top of another device. I can not seem to be able to route the cable connection properly.

Try Auto-route around shapes in the toolbar:

I removed the connectors between the devices and used the drag to connect option on each object. I still had to rearrange some lines. For some reason end points on a couple of lines seem to stop a bit short of their destination. By the way I am using the desktop version and could not find the auto-route option. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Auto-route is present in version 30.3.13. You may need to update your desktop version.
